I am saddened to report the passing this morning of Dr. Jean (Otis) Freeman, MHC Class of '69.  She had been in a memory care unit, with her husband Dan and daughter Liddy living nearby.
I always felt fortunate to call her a dear friend, meeting during freshman year, and even dating Yale roommates in our last two years.  Her mathematics major and Phi Beta Kappa status belie her naturalness and unassuming nature.  But it was her genuine laughter, bursting forth, that indicated her down-to-earth attitude.
